Glenhayes
Glenhayes is a very, very tiny town on the Big Sandy River in Wayne County.
Hezekiah K. Kirk
1910—1919
In the September 1915 Dun & Bradstreet, there is a listing for a “Kirk, H.K. & America” as a general store in Glenhayes (Mercantile Agency, 1915).
The first listing for an H.K. Kirk in Glenhayes appears in the September 1910 Dun & Bradstreet with the name Hezekiah K. Kirk, who was a grocer. Any Dun & Bradstreet books prior to 1910 do not have Glenhayes as a town. In 1911, the business becomes “Kirk, H.K. & America,” still a grocery store. They last appear in the 1919 Dun & Bradstreet books. Nevertheless, at no point are they listed as bottlers. This is the only example I have seen.
