In 1950, the dairy sold its entire herd of 30 cows (“Alderson Dairy”, 1950). The same article notes that their business operated for thirty years in total, beginning with T.J. Simmons. At the time of the sale, it was operated by Bill T. and Mrs. Julia Simmons.
